This quick project is for a coder familiar with Java, SSL Certificates, and the IE certificate keystore. Essentially, I have a Java application (running on 1.4.2 or higher) running on a Windows Server (2000 or 2003) that needs to connect to a remote server using HTTPS. Often the certificates used on the remote-server are self-signed (that is, not issued by a recognized authority), therefore, this certificate needs to be imported into the JVM's keystore before use. For various reasons, it is easier for the customers of this utlity to use IE to connect to the remote https server and import the self-signed certificate into the IE keystore first. I am looking for an easy way to get my JVM to use the certificates from the IE keystore -- The equivalent of the following flag to java: -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=path-to-IECACerts To my limited knowledge this kind of thing doesnt exist/work, so I am looking for a java utility that will automatically get the certificates from IE's keystore, export them, and import them to the JVM's keystore. p.s We could write our own trust-manager to accept any self-signed certificates, but that is not desired here. Alternatively, you could provide a java utility that will automatically get the certificate from the remote server and transparently store it into the JVM keystore. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows Server 2000, 2003 Java 1.4.2 or higher
