AJAX or Flash web-based photo editor

We require an browser based application to crop, rotate, scale, brighten and adjust contrast on photographs from within a web page. This will allow customers who have uploaded their photographs to our web site to adjust them before they are published. It must be extremely easy to use for a total novice. The application cannot be any larger than 500 pixels wide in order to fit into our web pages. The photographs are on our file system, and the path to the photograph will be provided to the application by our web page. The application must be launched when the web page loads, and display the specified photograph. It must make a backup copy of the photo, to allow the user to "revert". It must allow the user to perform the following functions: 1. Zoom in and out, 2. Select a cropping area and crop 3. Brighten or darken 4. Increase or decrease contrast 5. Stretch horizontally or vertically 6. Rotate clockwise or anti-clockwise 7. Save the finished photo back to the file system 8. Revert to the original photo All the above must be done from within the web page. The interface should show meaningful icons for each of the operations and the buttons should be labelled in English text as well. As this is quite a complex application, you may have questions you would like to ask before bidding. Please feel free to ask any questions you like. The successful bidder will be able to demonstrate his or her experience in building easy-to-use applications for web sites of a comparable level of complexity. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Internet Explorer Firefox Opera Safari The application could be written in Flash or DHTML/Javascript/AJAX. You will provide guidance on which platform you think is most appropriate On the server side we use ASP.NET, C#. You will provide the raw application files on completion so that we can add features ourselves if necessary.
