Hi,
I've got some stored procedures in written in Oracle SQL that need to be translated into SQL Server SQL.
This is part 1 of a 2 (or 3) part project, and if you code well and fast, you will be the coder of choice on the next two projects. I'd like to keep it all in the hands of one coder.
I have attached the Oracle package and procedures, and upon bid award, I will give you the CREATE TABLE statements and some data necessary to actually use it. I will also provide separate tables and data that have the correct results in them, so you have something to compare to.
This in not too hard, really, we just take some data from one place, transform it a little bit, summarize it at times, and move it to other tables. In short, we take detail data, and summarize it into varying levels of summary.
We use cursors and loops to get it done, but if you don't need to, you don't have to.
One last thing, it looks like a lot of code at first glance, but really, it is not too long. We use tables with a lot of columns, and in the code, each column name occupies its own line; So, a simple insert statement might be 50 lines or so. Please continue to use our one column, one line approach. It makes the code much easier to read and modify.
Happy Bidding!
George
