I need an Access 2003 database application to do the following:
I have a folder with images (BMP & JPEG) named like the enclosed attachment.
1- Write a script in Access 2003 to cycle through all the image files in the folder and take the name of the file split it up and populate an access table with info and put the image in the record also.
Create Access Table
Location - Text
FullName - Text
FirstName- Text
LastName - Text
Photo - OLE Object
Example
File is called "(office for insurance services) teresa [login to view URL]"
Populate location field in table with "(office for insurance services)
populate fullname field with teresa kerins
populate firstname field with teresa
populate lastname field with kerins
populate photo field with contents of the file - the picture
in splitting the name into first name and last name just look for the first space after the first name to segment the 2 names. No data cleanup is required
2- Write a quick Access report to display the contents of the table
Show: Fullname and photo on the report.
3- Write a quick form to update the info after its loaded.
You can just use the employee form from the Northwind database as an example.
Thats basically it.
Please email questions. Turnaround time is important.
Thanks for bidding.
