Brochure writing and design(repost)

This project consists of three parts: PART I (16 page brochure): Design and create 16 page 8.5" x 11" four-color brochure for 95 year old industrial manufacturing company that makes products for railway freight cars, locos and transit cars. The brochure provides a company overview, 3 main product lines and summary product description (1 para) of 12 products. Also on back cover, contact information, location of offices, how to get there and a small map. Source material provided: 14 minute DVD of company, two schematic diagrams showing products made and location on a railroad freight car and on a transit car. Product spec sheets for the 12 products. Urls to three main competitors websites, to give you ideas for layout and design for the brochure. Once approved, use the DVD and product sheets to create detail content. Use images from the DVD and the spec sheets for initial brochure layout. High-res color photography of products will be supplied later. If additional images are needed to tell the story, you must use copyright free images. PART II (Website content): Website content is basically is like brochure. Describes company, 3 product lines, plus 3 summary product line catalogs (each item with thumbnail image and para of text). When item clicked, brings up the "product detail" page. "Product detail page" created from spec sheets . Part III (New spec sheets) : Create a new standard design for printed product spec sheet. Create text for 12 spec sheet "one pagers". Only one page of text/sheet needed since back of each sheet is a "carried over' b/w drawing. ## Deliverables This is a milestone based project and payments will be made on completion and approval of each milestone, as a percentage of the bid amount accepted. Milestone 1: The winning bidder will provide 3 sample brochure designs from which we will pick one and refine it with you. Approval and selection of the design will constitute completion of milestone. Due = +1 week from start, payment 10% of bid Milestone 2: Provide "second pass"" brochure with as much text content as has been created (rest being dummy), but with images laid out. Provide a layout design for the new printed spec sheet (as described in Part III.) This brochure and spec sheet delivery will be refined based on our comments. Approval of "second pass brochure" and "spec sheet design" will constitute completion of milestone 2. Due = +2 weeks from start date, payment 20% of bid. Milestone 3: 16 page brochure content and text etc completed and a pdf document provided. The content for the website based pages (based on the brochure as described in Part II ) provided. Pdf version of single page spec sheets provided for review (Part III) This delivery will be refined based on our comments. "Pre-final" brochure, spec sheet and website content will constitute completion of milestone. Due = +3 weeks, payment 30% of bid. Milestone 4: All images cut in, final version of 16 page brochure loaded in pdf form on website, All pdfs of spec sheets loaded onto the website. Website page content loaded onto the website. Final "tweaking" and approval of the "final" brochure, spec sheets and website pages. Approval of content will constitute completion of milestone. Due = +4 weeks after start, payment 20% of bid. Milestone 5: All Cleanup completed, All Camera Ready artwork provided for all printed items. Final Approval of all deliverables constitutes completion of this milestone. Due = +5 weeks after start. Payment 20% of bid. All images will either be from client DVD, supplied by the client , or delivered by you, copyright free. All textual content will be copyright free. All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
