I need someone to walk a couple of us through programming a meaningful Cakephp 2.3 unit test for a controller. We already have working unit tests for our models, but controllers, which use the Auth component, baffle us.
The hiring is for a focused live training session, not for having that controller test written out-of-band. The goal is to learn enough to then test the remainder of the application's business logic.
Logistics:
- We'll do this live over Google Hangout, with me driving and sharing my screen
- We're in the EDT timezone
- My availability:
-- Tue through Fri 9pm-midnight
-- Sat or Sun 1-4pm
You:
- Expert at Cakephp 2.0+, phpunit, xdebug
- Fluent in English
- Can articulate how to write a controller test
Me:
- Strong programmer, but fairly new to PHP and Cakephp
- Already have application running, some model unit tests
- Confused by interaction of Auth component, ControllerTestCase(), validate(), generate(), testAction(), etc.
- Flexible on rate based on your credentials
- Ready to start now
on2itonline:
Hi, KIWI Team here at on2itonline would love to work for you on this project,
we do "full service" websites on a clear and fixed budget.
We have lots of offer that others don't, like our lifetime FREE hosting on every website for a start.
We have read carefully the project description and fully understand the project requirement.
Let's discuss further issues of the project through PM
First, I offer myself as a mentor for all aspects of CakePHP. I would have quoted you $1/hr if the system allowed it. I would like for us to get acquainted.
I can do a lot more for you than just this unit test. I am a reverse-engineer. Besides abandoned legacy systems, I also rapidly take apart open-sourced projects, to the extent that I can write books on them. Invited by publishers to write.
I'm looking for employers and employees. Hope we can get acquainted.
