Hello, I have an existing C++ ticker I need help finishing using Borland 6 C++ builder. This app is a windows based ticker that is not functioning now. Please submit your questions to give valid bid. Thanks, Shawn Broadcast message 11/9 Hello, I am not sure what is wrong with it. It is basically a replica of this: <[login to view URL]> I believe its missing a third party skin component. The ticker will have an open broadcast platform which provides powerful functionality while minimizing consumption of screen, CPU, and network bandwidth resources. It should deliver any information (news, weather, stocks, database records, ads, audio files, video clips, etc.) that can be served up on a Web page accessible by intended subscribers. Content is delivered in channels - groups of 'Headlines' associated with a particular organization or publishing 'Source' - each within a particular subject 'Category' of similar content or with a particular point of view. Headlines consist of the 'Headline Title' (a brief line of text) and a URL. The URL points to a Web page with more information related to the headline. A click on the scrolling headline in the active window launches the associated Web content. For news channels, headlines link to the full story from the publishing source. Headlines could also link to a database or any other information that can be delivered by a Web server - with obvious utility for many different applications, including delivery of proprietary information on private networks/corporate Intranets. ## Deliverables This ticker will utilize CDF, or Channel Definition Format, an industry standard file format for delivering subscription-based content over the Web. CDF is an application of the eXtensible Markup Language, or XML, that makes it easy to define and organize channels and headline content. The CDF file is simply a text file containing recognized XML tags. Key Features Powerful functionality in a compact application. Customize the toolbar with your preferred channels and componen ts, snap the ticker to the top or bottom of your screen, or use the auto-hide feature for access only when you want it. Seamless desktop integration. Ticker should be available for 98, 2000 and Windows NT users and is compatible with any standard Web browser. Low-profile, Low-memory, low-bandwidth and low CPU usage. Ticker should be far more efficient and customizable resource management than seemingly comparable applications, the installed application won't take over your desktop. Customizable connectivity. Schedule update intervals to suit your information needs and Internet connection method. Access from behind Network Firewalls. Supports HTTP proxy user ID and password-protected networks. Open architecture. Using CDF, an industry standard file format, any content that can be served up on a Web page can be broadcast via the ticker. Open publishing model. Using our free tools and specifications, virtually anyone can esta blish a channel for broadcast to the ticker. Consequently, users can choose among a virtually endless supply of channels. Decentralized. This ticker platform scales to an unlimited number of content channels and subscribers. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Borland C++ Builder C++ on Windows MS SQL Server ISAPI DLL
