Desktop Application - Various Skills Required

Hi Coders, I am looking to create a desptop application that carries out various internet related automated tasks. You will require knowledge in the following areas: Spiders & Robots Web Browsers Ecryption Basic description of the project: The desktop application will allow the user to set-up automated/scheduled task that will emulate browser and spider activity. In addition it will interact with my server to collect process settings and auto updates for the software. On the server side it will encrypt setting before sending to user and then the software will decrypt setting on the user side to execute tasks. Yes, I have not really given you enough information to bid on this project! I am currently about 1/2 way through the specification at this moment in time. Selection Prossess: 1. Respond to this project with examples of desktop application you have previously complete, with links to supporting sites and download if available. Also confirm you have a working knowledge of the areas above. 2. I will them review all submissions and short list individuals. This short list will be given a top level specification with enough information to bid on. 3. The final short list will then be given the full specification to review and finalise their bid. NOTE: I will be placing a large emphasis on your previous work when selecting the coder from this project. If you have not made desktop applications before, or have no idea how search engine spiders work, then donot bother to bid! After the initial completion of this project there will be ongoing support required for updating and upgrading the software. So again if you donot feel that you cannot offer long term support and future upgrades. Donot Bid!! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP & Vista Linux Desktop app: open to suggestion for language Server side app: php/mysql
