**Objective**

Develop a .net library (or a Win32 DLL/LIB that can be invoked from .net application) that can create/extract/edit/burn a CD-ROM ISO-9660 image. The library should be able to create an ISO image from a CD/DVD, extract the files from an ISO image to the hard disk, edit the ISO image directly without extracting and burn the image on recordable media.

## Deliverables

**Required Functionality**

1. Be able to return a list of available CD/DVD read/write drives on the system.

Input: -

Output: -

List of Drive Letters and Descriptions

1. Be able to create a bootable ISO-9660 image from the selected CD/DVD drive media.

Input: -

1. Selected CD/DVD Drive letter.

2. Path to save the ISO image file.

Output: -

Appropriate return code/message

1. Be able to extract an existing CD-ROM iso image to a specified folder.

Inputs: -

1. Path to the ISO image

2. Path to the folder for extracting the image file. If the folder does not exist it has to be created.

Output: -

Appropriate return code/message

1. Be able to delete a specified file/folder from a bootable iso image.

Inputs: -

1. Path to the ISO image

2. Path to the specified file/folder inside the ISO image, that has to be deleted.

Output: -

Appropriate return code/message

1. Be able to add a file/folder at a specified location in a bootable iso image.

Inputs: -

1. Path to the ISO image

2. Path to the specified file/folder on the hard disk.

3. Path to add the file/folder inside the ISO image.

Output: -

Appropriate return code/message

1. Be able to record the ISO image on to a blank disk

Input: -

1. User selected CD/DVD read/write drive.

2. Path to the ISO image on the hard disk

Output: -

Appropriate return code/message

1. Any edit operations done with the ISO image should not hamper its bootable characteristic.

<!-- -->

1. If the library is used to modify an existing image then the modified image file should be optimized and comparable in size to the initial image.

**Language/Development Platform**

Preferred development language is C# and platform is .NET 1.1.

**Deliverable**

The deliverable should include the library, source code and technical as well as usage documentation. If the code is in C/C++ then the deliverable should include both DLL and LIB files. In such case, adequate documentation should be provided for invoking the dll from a .net application.

**Testing of the deliverable**

Adequate time frame should be agreed upon before starting the project, which should also include the time for conducting necessary testing, before the project closure.

**Miscellaneous**

All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
