You must be familiar with AutoCad to understand the problem I have. The answer could either be a Lisp routine or a stand alone app. In Autocad a line is stationed with Land Development. Along this line call outs are added that reference the station number. Throughout the coarse of the project changes occur that require restationing of the line. The call outs that were added initially do not automatically update themselves with the new station number. This is what I want to do. The answer could be in how we enter the callouts, I don't have an answer. There is no "out of the box answer" within Autocad programs. If you feel you want to look into it, I could describe it better depending on how fluent you are in Autocad. I don't know what the impact to a coder is to do this job, let me know. The following is an amendment to the original posting. Again, familiarity with Autocad is important. It has come to my attention that the following terms need clarification: Call Outs: In Autucad the reference to line is actually a polyline that is drawn in to the plans and are referred to as alignments. Alignments are databased in Autocad so data such as northing easting values and station value can be recalled. At each change in direction Autocad places a node. These nodes are labeled with values extracted from the alignment database. The labeling is the call out. Restationing: When I first draw the polyline and define it as an alignment I will station it. As the project evolves the polyline is moved, stretched, shrunk such that it is not the same length or may start at a new origin. To get the polyline stationed again, I restation it in the same process as before. But the rub is that the labels at the nodes do not get updated they are not dynamic in nature, so I am forced to manually go back and relabel all the nodes I am concerned with. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Windows based program probabaly 2000 and above. For Autocad I would like it to be 2000 and above.
