**To all those messages that included brief details on what a solution could be, I'm afraid you've all been off. Though the problem seemed to be what many answered it as, the problem was within the ActiveXDLL Itself. After testing it against a test form in vb, I was able to pinpoint the problem about 15 lines down in the code. ASP does not have any problems with the code sample that was displayed. I thank everyone for there attempts, but regretfully state that you we're all incorrect in your help. sorry.**

* * *I've been trying to build a game into a website. (The Game is partially based on telnet, but Character creation, training, purchasing things, etc... Happens on the website.) I've built an AciveX DLL called 'ASPLink'. There is a class in it called "PlayerFile". I run the lines set lnk = [login to view URL]( "[login to view URL]" ) 'uName = the players name (Yes, it actually does have data) 'Path = The path upto the directory where the files are saved. [login to view URL] uName, Path It always errors on the init. the code in the ActiveX Starts out like this. public sub Init(UserName as string, Path as string) It pulls up a type mismatch error, and i don't know why, any one had a similar experience and no the general idea of the solution?
