Company seeks individual to debug, secure, document (comment), and clean up the source of a web application written in ASP. The program in question is **already written**. This small project was outsourced to another individual, and while it works, it doesn't meet our standards. Your task will be to analyze the program, and then bring it up to standard by whatever means that you and I deem necessary after your analysis. The application complexity is relatively simple, not much more complicated than a typical shopping-cart application. It uses an MSSQL database back-end to store information that it receives from a 3rd party institution using said institution's XML service. And then it presents this information to users based on individual user policies. Reports (in PDF or HTML format) are generated for each user based on this information. Upon acceptance of your bid you will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement and then given all necessary materials, including the source tree and database schemas with which to analyze and test. The skills you will be required to possess include: * Understanding of basic programming concepts, including OOP. * Experience with code analysis and debugging * Expert skill with the ASP/ASP.NET language * Experience and understanding of the SQL language, MSSQL SQL or at least ANSI SQL. * Some experience with standards-compliant XML, HTML, CSS. (DHTML a plus, but not required)
