I am working on a new web-based application. I need someone who is good with user interface design to use the attached requirements, and then design screen designs / prototypes that accomplish the requirements.
The screen designs / prototypes should be produced as ASP .Net (.aspx) pages. You are not responsible for developing the code to make the screens work. You are just responsible for the design and layout of the screens, and then places the appropriate controls on the ASP .Net pages.
This includes pages for:
- Login and password resets
- Create New Orders
- Modify Existing Orders
- Display Orders
- Cancel Orders
- Add/Update/Delete Valid Addresses
- Add/Update/Delete values for settings
There are three types of users, with different rights on what they can/cannot do in the system.
There are multiple settings and order types.
Your screens must cover all of these scenarios, plus anything else that is in the requirements document, but is not listed above.
I don't need any graphics. Just the screen designs and .Net controls layout.
You should think through what would be the easiest and the fastest way for a user of the system to complete a task. For example, clicking a radio button might take one click to select an option. Using a combo box might take two clicks to select an option (one to click the arrow for the drop-down, and another to click the option).
It might be good to use the radio button because of less clicks, but the combo box might work better for ease of use, or it might work better on performance for firing an event to refresh the page. These are the type of things you need to think through and consider as you choose the design and layout - easiest to use, fastest to complete, and best performance.
Also consider controls that might improve the quality of the data being entered. For example, a calendar control might provide better data quality than a text box that allows a user to type in a date.
## Deliverables
Visual Studio 2010
ASP.Net Web Application project template, with C# Web as the Project type
Only use native Visual Studio .Net controls. Do not use third-party controls such as Infragistics, Telerik, DevExpress, etc.
