Hello,
I am looking for someone with ASP.NET (VB language) knowledge to help me finish 2 pages for our site: [login to view URL]
1. The home page contains the news board that shows 5 database-driven messages. The database structure is simple:
Message ID
Title
Text Body
Date
URL
Internal flag
I need to add a "News" page that will have two grids (one on top, one below it) showing historical messages. Messages are taken from the same database as the front-page currently uses (no need to built new tables).
The grids are: internal messages (up to 5 lines per grid page) and external messages (up to 10 lines per page).
Each grid will have 2 columns:
Date
Title
Messages of the "internal" grid will link to another page on our site. The external grid articles will point to the external page.
Both grids should use AJAX for paging. I will provide an ASP page with CSS, indicating the place where the grids should be places.
2. I need to create an Admin page for entering and editing the messages from the same table (currently, the messages are typed into the database directly). The admin page should have a form for entering new messages with the following fields:
Image (pull-down menu with pre-populated list of images)
Title
Text body
Date (a pick-box from the calendar)
URL
Internal? (check-box)
Once I click on the "Save" button, the message should be saved in the database (1:1 field mapping) and the form is reset (it's nice to have a reset button too). The message (title, URL) should be also sent to our **Twitter** account when saved.
Also, there should be a grid of the latest 20 messages from which I choose to delete or edit one of the existing messages (in case there is a mistake or duplicated entry). The grid should have the following fields:
MessageID
Image
Date
Title
Once selecting for editing, it can populate the same form as for the new message, display message ID somewhere and say "Save Edit" on the save button.
The security for the page is not necessary - it will be done by us separately.
The whole job shouldn't be more then a few hours for a good coder.
