Bookstore - Virtuemart - Display authors

we are a small bookstore. We have a website (Joomla and Virtuemart) and we want a better way to work with the authors. Right now, we have a product type, named books, with the follows parameters: - authors (i.e. the author name) - number of pages (i.e. the number of page from a book) - year of publication (i.e. the year of book publication) So, please note that you need to eliminate the duplicate entries because right now the same authors can have different ID's. We don't have the option to click the name of the authors and to see all the books for the same person. That is our first request: we want to have the authors name after each title in the browse page and in the details product page. The second one is to have a page with all authors in alphabetical order, with a link for each name to all books written by this author. We also need to have an option to choose the author names in the admin section of Virtuemart. We prefer to have an Ajax implementation here (like type the first three letters of the name and obtain a list of all authors whose names begin with those letters). And the last: to modify the search module so that the search includes the authors field. We are open to any solution. We don't have a budget yet.
