We are creating a free app (iphone + android) for personal safety, to help users with a tool they can use in various difficult situations. Main features: PLACE SAFETY ALERTS: Allows user to let their preferred contacts know that they have reached a specific location automatically, every time they safely arrive at that destination. User can also create safe places for their contacts so they know when their friends/family are safe as well. CHECK-IN: User can pre-configure their destination and the app sends a reassuring message to their family and friends automatically when the user reaches the destination. PANIC ALARM: Avoid potentially unsafe situations with a panic alarm button that alerts others around the user (sound+visual alarm) and automatically makes a Priority Call+SMS to their trusted contacts or to local emergency/police number. Message sent out to trusted contact includes a short message + the user location details. AUTOCALL: Preset a time to receive a fake call from the user’s contact of choice. It makes the user’s phone ring at a specified time as if the contact of choice was calling, to get them out of sticky situations or boring dates. SHADOW ME: Headed to an unfamiliar place alone? Shadow me allows preferred contacts to follow the user on a map until they reach safely. PERSONAL SAFETY TIPS: Page with about 20 videos on personal safety tips NEWS ALERT: News feed specifically in the event of a major dangerous event (terrorism/tsunami/storm…)
