Bus Tracking

The project is to mainly track student pickup and drop off on buses. This should be developed in two apps, one for the bus attendant on the bus and one for student parent. The idea is to allow the matron to use her Android Tablet app to notify parents when the bus is close by to pick up or drop off location. The notification will arrive on student parents app (Android/IOS) when the matron triggers this per each student. The matron app needs to have authorization and authentication. Each matron can be on different bus with different students. She will identify herself with a pin and bus id and then her app will be populated with the list of students. Parents will receive push notifications on their devices even if the app is closed for important events such as: pickup or drop off request, buss arrives at school, bus leaves school, etc. Parents will also be able to locate the bus on map when needed. A backend website is needed for managing schools, buses, students data, rules, etc. Data is hierarchical so that CMS can have more than one school each with more than one bus each with more than one student, etc. There is no Mockup or UI ideas, it is important that your team has a graphic designer that know UX/UI and can suggest a design for the apps and website. Deliverables are as follows: 1- The bus attendant app, an Android app. 2- Parent App, for both Android and IPhone. 3- Website for administration and content management. 4- Source Code Previous work with GPS apps is highly preferable.
