I would like to have a small app that can work with a large number of SQLite 3 data sets.
The basic functionality of the app:
- A simple start view with an image in the background. It includes a button to one of my web urls shown within a web view (information about the IOS version, iPhone/iPod or iPad, landscape or portrait mode and the name of the app should be passed along as parameters when calling the url). By tapping the image the user gets to the 2nd view.
- The 2nd view contains a navigation on the left side (a simple table view that is to be generated programatically by using the category table data (SQLite 3 database)). There are several hundred categories. Each category can contain either other sub categories and/or the names of the information sets that need to be displayed at the right side of the 2nd view. The database contains about 9000 information sets. I think the easiest way would be to have a local stored html page and parts of its html code need to be replaced according to the data (when displaying the information of an information set). If the portrait mode is active, the navigation on the left should not be shown generally. Then a button should be shown at the top left. When clicking on it, a popover with the table view (categories) appears. If a popover can't be implemented for iPhone (since it is for iPad) then an appropriate solution must be found.
At the top right of the 2nd view a search field should be set. When typing in words, with every new entered sign the database is searched for an information set with this name or part of this name. Then the found results are presented under the search field. Similar like the search function with suggestions using the "App Store" app.
I exported my MySQL data to a .txt file with MySQL commands. This data needs to be converted to an SQLite 3 database for using it within the app. Please show me how to convert this MySQL data to an SQLite 3 database. I would like to be able to do updates on my own in the future.
Another feature: A "Would you like to rate this app now?" dialog box should appear one (!) time when starting the app 7 days or later after the first usage or after at least 3 launches. So this data of usage must be stored for this reason as well.
Supported IOS: 4 (it would be great if IOS 3 could be supported. But IOS 4 would still be sufficient).
For: iPhone/iPod and iPad
Both landscape and portrait mode should be supported.
All images are provided by me. When finished I will need all source code inclusive all rights and an invoice. You can send me the complete project as a compressed project when sending the first versions. I have XCode installed and will be able to run it on my computer.
Please have a look at the attached image with further explanations and instructions!
If you have any question please feel free to send me a message.
