Android Video Player with Phonegap

We have an app that is mostly complete. It has a video witn int the app that is to be hosted locally with in the app on the device and not require a connection to play. The issue is that Android has a permissions block that does not allow the video to be played from the folder that is installed with in the phonegap app. We would like this worked around and allow the user to watch the video on the page. The video can use the default video player on the android device as long as it takes the user back to the app.
