We have a phonegap built application but need to to fire something from js interface that provides to launch something to show maps.

The maps will be populated with markers from a xml (server-side) feed, tapping the marker will show more information and a link to view the whole article, which will take back to the phonegap application to a local url (index.html#news:id).
