I use Microsoft Access to organize the client data for my portrait photography business. I need a VB Script to run from within Microsoft Access that will create folders on my hard drive and name the folders according to information contained in an Access table. The user should be able to click a form button that will read information from the current record, check the hard drive for the existence of a directory and if it doesn't exist, create it. Example: A table named Clients contains: ClientID NamePrimaryLast NamePrimaryFirst A linked table named OrderInfo contains: OrderID ClientID OrderDescription OrderDate OrderType The OrderType field is restricted to values in a table that match a set of master folders that already exist on my hard drive. Z:/Commercial Z:/Portrait Z:/Wedding For each client we manually create these folders: Z:/OrderType/NamePrimaryLast_NamePrimaryFirst/OrderDescription_OrderDate/JPEGs Z:/OrderType/NamePrimaryLast_NamePrimaryFirst/OrderDescription_OrderDate/MasterImages/HighRes Z:/OrderType/NamePrimaryLast_NamePrimaryFirst/OrderDescription_OrderDate/MasterImages/LowRes Z:/OrderType/NamePrimaryLast_NamePrimaryFirst/OrderDescription_OrderDate/ProofPortfolio Z:/OrderType/NamePrimaryLast_NamePrimaryFirst/OrderDescription_OrderDate/PSDs Z:/OrderType/NamePrimaryLast_NamePrimaryFirst/OrderDescription_OrderDate/RAW Z:/OrderType/NamePrimaryLast_NamePrimaryFirst/OrderDescription_OrderDate/Upload There are more folders, but I can modify the script to add them. In many cases, the folder Z:/OrderType/NamePrimaryLast_NamePrimaryFirst will already exist, so the script will need to check if its exists and if not, it will create it. If the script overwrites an existing folder that is disaster :) After creating the folders, the script should display a success dialog to the user. Thank you.
