Hello, I'm an aeronautic engineer and I'm working with Italian Air Force as system analyst in the weather forecast enviroment. Every day I work with a lot amount of data and I have a background in statistics due to the previous works with mos (model output statistic) for weather forecast in which covariance, correlation, etc are very important tools. Also in severel study in the wind tunnel made in my previous work at Italian Aerospace Research Center, there were statistics studies of the velocity field (std, kurtosis, skewness, ecc.).
