Composite Civil Engineering Project I have a small project that is really just a proof of concept -- the goal is to write a paper that demonstrates these ideas. That is, I think this will work and make sense, but I’m not entirely sure. This is not a business project, it’s just a hobby project. Tell me if this makes sense or if you have a better method. I have a structure with an interior (inner) and exterior (outer) surface that is defined by 3 key sections (1,2,3). These sections are illustrated… see file (and in the attached DXF files). Taking these sections, I want to generate a volume so that I can calculate the Section modulus given the function (x,y,z) of the returned solid. This can also be done by two meshes (outer mesh, inner mesh). From this the following results are returned… see file. The engineering mechanics to use are given in the attachment. The goal is to do the following... 1. Using STRUCTURAL DESIGN LOADS FOR 1- and 2- FAMILY DWELLINGS ([login to view URL]) and propose foundation points to establish equilibrium in the system. 2. Using the two meshes, develop a Section modulus function and solved for Fc and Ft given S(x,y,z). You can do this in mathlab or whatever software you want to use. 3. From this develop a Finite element model which shows Fc and Ft so that we can determine the max and minimum Ft and Fc using the mechanics given. You can assume EPS for the core material. EPS properties can be found at [login to view URL] Basically the dxf gives relationships to determine the section modulus and geometry to solve the static equations. 4. write a short paper which cover the following... a. process used b. equations used c. method used d. resultants graphs -- from finite models and images e. max min Fc and Ft ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
