Develop first a logo, then a Corporate Identity

I run a micro business company in Slovenia in the area of homes (apartment buildings) management. I am trying to re-brand my business, I need first a new logo and soon thereafter also stationary, envelopes (brand identity). This project is for a LOGO, brand identity would be a separate project. But I would prefer to develop brand identity with the same graphic designer so I am interested in the quality of work. A few words about the business. Apartment management means that we receive bills for an entire building and I divide those bills among owners of apartments in such a building. For instance, we receive electricity bills/water bills/garbage bills for entire building and we divide the costs among people. But this business is much more than this. It is also organizing very complex construction works on the buildings (let's say clients decide to have a new facade, or build an elevator – we organize everything, from architects to loan from the bank). This business also means that I have to communicate with clients very good, I must be able to understand them, explain to them complex subject and most importantly, when they can not agree amongst themselves, I must be the one to show them the way , connect them and show them common ground. Among other things clients must by law pay certain amount of money each month, that can only be used for investments and repairs of the building. Thus, my business must be safe, trustworthy, because I also manage their savings. I already did the homework and I can show you the direction of the optimal logo design. To develop the optimal logo, it is important to see where in my business logo is important. The only and the most important use of logo in my business is the moment of contacting new potential customers. This is because when I receive a new customer, the customer is a permanent customer, a customer cannot switch to competition easily. Therefore, it is important for logo to convey the correct message and be very effective in the moment, when we make contact with new customer. Later on, it is not so important anymore. The process of getting a new customer is very hard, at least 4 from the moment of first contact. When thinking about the potential logo, you should have this in mind: - 70% of my customers who I am making sales visits are over 40-50 years old. Relatively conservative. - Logo should contain good positive ideas. - Logo should be a unifier, a connecting point for all clients living under one roof - Logo should demonstrate protections, authority, safety. - Logo should also give a message of simplicity and transparency. - Wisdom and knowledge. - Think about it, if you would give someone the authority and trust to safe-keep your house and the money you are saving to spend on the building, what logo would you like to see?
