HI, Do you offer a sharing hosting or something like that? If yes how many websites are you servicing? I have more than 15+ years experience with linux and security, you are trying to secure your server with the wrong way. We can discuss your case and see IF I can setup you an isolation environment per each website, an env that will not contain any shell at all (!) , not a fast or an easy solution but this will be really security for old/new shell kind attacks, not a lot of companies use solutions like this. Hello, Based on what you're saying it's your site code that actually is being compromised. Is it up to date? On way of tackling this problem would be to disable PHP uploads and ensure secure server permissions to prevent uploads with POST and so on. Perhaps it's just backdoor-ed somewhere that allows for attacker to keep coming back. To be honest your budget is a bit low for me, but I can do an hour to look things over for you, perhaps disable file uploads for the time being completely. Depending on what we can find we can move further if we get a better idea what's going on.

This is caused by vulnerable scripts/programs installed on the server. I can track how hacker uploaded this file. Once we find the vulnerable script/site, program needed to update. Most software providers provide software update to fix security issue. Updating to latest software version will fix this. If this is custom program, then you need to ask developer of the program to fix the vulnerability. Thanks, Yujin

Hello, I am certified rh engineer but i prefer to work with gentoo or debian. If you got hacked the best way is to reinstall system because you could got backdoored i.e over trojaned ssh or other rootkit. To block phpshells scripts you need to fix your php.ini.
