As such, it is seeking a HK based former general counsel or senior lawyer to join Ilenomia Legal in the “uberization” of legal services, as an independent member of the Ilenomia-Legal platform of international lawyers and act as Asia-Pacific General Counsel for international clients with business activities in Asia-Pacific region.

What you’ll do
The Asia-Pacific General Counsel will act as “in-house counsel” for a variety of international clients, on an external basis. He/she will manage a wide variety of legal matters of clients, including, but not limited to, corporate governance, corporate formations, contracts and contractual relationships with third parties and employees, among other issues relating to the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Manage “on demand” all or specific legal affairs of clients with Asia-Pacific operations, with the assistance of specialized law firms or other lawyers of the Ilenomia-Legal platform, where needed.
Draft and review corporate contracts; manage all future and past contractual relationships of clients.
Work hand in hand with Senior Management in defining the legal application of new verticals.
Execute legal projects within a predefined timeline, per client requisites.
What you’ll need
5 to 10 years of in-house (preferable) or law firm experience;
Excellent verbal and written English and Mandarin skills;
Applicable legal education with competitive academic credentials and applicable Bar/Law Society qualification;
A “generalist”, with extensive contract and corporate law experience, at a minimum;
Intelligent with a high level of motivation;
