I have a little web quiz site that has been built with MOBL ([login to view URL]). (HTML5 & Java) It is for mobile web browsers only. Everything is in working order. I would like to add the ability to scan in a code into a page field where now a 6 digit alpha numeric code is entered manually into a field to call up the question page.
The way it works now, the user enters an index page, then proceeds to an " enter code page". The user enters a six digit code, which pulls up a corresponding multiple choice question. When the question is answered, the answer is loged into the database, and the user is returned to the "enter code page. The user cycles through this until all questions are answered, then they get a results page.
I am understanding that the two ways to achieve this would be
1) add session cookies and use URLs in the qr code to pull up the next question page url. Without the cookies, the url shortcut load would generate a new session resulting in loosing the spot in the quiz database.
2) embed a qr code scanner into the program to allow the user to scan a code directly into a web page field.
I am looking for someone who has experience with mobile web browsers and the MOBL program and Java. I would like whatever changes that are made or added, to be compatible with using MOBL so I can make small changes to the quiz itself.
I do not believe adding the cookies is a large job. But am not sure if this is the best approach or not. This is a low budget tweak to a project.
This needs to be compatible with all web enabled mobile browsers (smart phones).
I would like to have this completed in a week.I will supply you with the MOBL file so you can make adjustments/additions. I would like to see this running on your site for testing before completion and loading on my site.
Please let me know if you have questions or need to know anything more.
