We would like to have a CSS and JavaScript template made which allows a SWF (flash movieclip) to have its overflow hidden when the browser window is resized. What we want is for the flash movieclip to stay the same size, but, as the window is resized, we would like the movieclip to remain centered on the page while the overflow is hidden. This solution has a few caveats:
1. It will have to work on Facebook canvas in an iframe.
2. The solution has to be CSS/Javascript XHTML based and cross-browser compatible.
3. It must be compatible with swfobject, jquery and/or other well known libraries and not conflict with them. Custom JS is acceptable but to be avoided for things like embedding of the movieclip, again, for reasons of reliability.
4. There can be no scrollbars other than the main scrollbar which scrolls the browser window up and down.
I have made a rough example here [login to view URL] - NOTE: this example does not meet the requirements. It just work somewhat properly but it is not done and does not work on Facebook as it should.
I can provide the sample swf but the size of the swf we will use is 1540x1000 pixels.
The final version will be tested in all modern browsers and if it does not work we will reject it. IE6 compatibility is not a must if that is a problem. In fact we don't care much for IE6.
