For an SSL VPN solution we use properJavaRDP to connect to RDP servers.
Currently properJavaRDP does not support mapping printers and fails to work properly on the current Java Runtime.
I need a coder to do the following things:
* Download either the latest CVS version or the current stable version of the sourcecode for properJavaRDP.
The source code can be found here: [login to view URL]
* Patch the code to support printer mapping. A patch to do this can be found in this thread: [login to view URL]
* Patch the code to support the latest Java runtime. A patch to do this can be found in this thread: [login to view URL]
* Compile a JAR file and sign it (i will supply a code signing certificate)
**Testing
**I will test the applet on the following platforms:
* Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
* Apple MacOS X
* Ubuntu 10.10
All testing will be done on freshly installed systems, updated with all necessary updates and on the current stable version of the Oracle / SUN Java Runtime, downloaded from here: [login to view URL]
Printers should work on Mac OS and Windows.
The applet should work (be embeddable) in the following browsers:
* Chrome
* Internet Explorer (version 7 and up)
* Firefox (version 3.5 and up)
Older versions of Java do not need to be supported. Basically, if it works with the latest Java version on Mac OS and Windows, I'm a happy customer. I consider Ubuntu Linux a bonus, it is not a hard necessity.
This should essentially be an easy job for an experienced Java developer. This project is under tight time constraints.
Your code will be contributed to the properJavaRDP project.
Any suggestions on how we can best achieve this are greatly appreciated.
