Bug Software

The project would consist of a software program that would track bugs/enhancements. It would need to have a login screen where users could log in and create, read, update, or delete new bugs/enhancements. The information would be stored in a database and accessed by the users. The purpose of this would be to create a central location for information so multiple users could access and edit/update assigned items (bugs, enhancements, new features, etc.) so development and testing of the software would be more efficient. Some of the fields would have drop down options to choose the selections/assignments, etc. This project needs to run in Netbeans or Eclipse and MySql. The user would be able to include the following areas in the NEW module (roughly): ID (auto assign #/auto increment) Assignment (Bug, Enhancement, Fix) Item Assignment (combination of letters/# Description Expected Results Status (New, In Progress, Resolved, By Design, Cannot Reproduce, Postponed, Will Not Fix) Severity (Normal, Moderate, Critical) Priority (High, Normal, Low, Research) Reported By (one of the users) Reported Date Assigned To (one of the users) This would be a Testing Module (where the user could read/edit/update the information from the New Module: Reproduced In Testing (Always, Sometimes, Never) with option field to Recreate Steps or Attach a file Testing Results (Passed, Failed) Testing Comments Programming Status (New, Coded, Recoded, Deferred, Eliminated) Programmers Comments Completion Date Reports/Queries To sort information based on Assignment (ex. All bugs), Status, Assigned To with the ability to export to excel.
