Children's book illustrations

Looking for motivated children's book illustrators with whom I can potentially collaborate on a long-term basis. First Project: I need 2-D digital illustrations for a children's book I'm working on. This is the 2nd book in a multi-book series. First book has just been completed so I'm looking for someone who can continue (mimic) the look of the first (that is, I want to keep the style of drawings and appearance of characters as similar as possible). If this first collaboration goes well, I will definitely want to continue with additional collaborations; I'm already developing book #3 and also an unrelated children's book (also about dogs) Specs: Book will be published in both print and digital format: roughly 24-30 pages plus cover Images need to be 300 dpi, 8.75 x 8.75 inches (final print book trim size will be 8.5x8.5) To keep time/efforts as efficient as possible, I will provide rough sketches complete with margins and text spaces where I will insert text after I receive the final color images. About the book: This is one of many planned in my "Farm Dogs" children's book series. Characters revolve around a mom, dad, their adopted 8 year old daughter, and three dogs: 2 german shepherds and a border collie. I like vibrant, primary colors (no pastels or watercolor styles); cute, cartoon-style characters with proportional features (no over-sized heads or eyeballs); dogs should be drawn as more of a cute cartoon style of their various breeds rather than realistic sketches. Terms: I have several books in mind so I do have to be conscious of cost. I will pay $20/pg --> 24-30 pgs = $480-$600 Payments will be made after completion of two milestones: #1 after satisfactory completion of all rough sketches; #2 after satisfactory completion of all color images. Time Frame: Goal is to complete project within 6-8 weeks - I can be somewhat flexible (within reason :) I deeply respect the talent of illustrators and understand that your time/efforts are valuable - hence the very detailed rough sketches that I provide in order to minimize potential back and forth/revisions.
