ThiqNFit is a platform to promote the curvy athletic woman. Many of the images seen of active women do not represent the average/every day woman that doesn’t necessarily have the fitness model physique.
Background
ThiqNFit began when Stephanie Gettridge started her fitness journey to lose weight after having her son. She participated in all manners of group fitness classes as well as began playing adult league soccer. Her bold personality captured the attention of the fitness coordinator of the gym she attended. The coordinator suggested she become a group fitness instructor. In Stephanie’s own words, she doesn’t fit the “typical” instructor prototype. Most instructors were sizes 0-10. Stephanie fluctuates between sizes 12 and 14. She would see the looks on some of the thinner student’s faces as she approached classes to teach. Shed smiled to herself because they didn’t know what they were in for. Those classes always ended with “OMG you are awesome!” or “You’re a beast!”
She broke and important stereo type of not judging a book by its cover.
