Design a Brochure

We are looking for an experienced catalogue designer who can create a new modern look quality catalogue of fixings, fastenings and associated products. There is around 5000 product lines (a large number are just different size variations of the same products) around 1200 product groups. Every product group will have one image which will be supplied there will also be some product groups where there will be additional images. We need the catalogue to be kept as compact a design as possible so are looking for the designer to be able to use skill and creativity to produce a catalogue clear and readable but with a high items per page content – average of 50 items per page and around 100 - 150 pages total is what we are looking to achieve. We require the catalogue to be designed in Indesign software format and will require all copyright to be assigned to us and full catalogue files and artwork to be supplied to us on completion. It is essential that you have very good accuracy and can design a consistent and quality layout throughout. The process will involve initially creating cover and example page layout concepts for us to approve and then these pages styles used throughout the catalogue. The catalogue will be broken into around 12 sections and will require you to create index and cross selling references through it once the overall design is complete. This is a big project and we are looking for turnaround as soon as possible, we will need to work together well and there may be times when images for example will have to be inserted later if we are waiting for them to be photographed . Data will be supplied in an excel spreadsheet for all the products giving code, description, unit size, price and unit and a detailed description and image reference. Images will be supplied in a separate folder with matching image names. We will probably work on a section by section basis where we supply the data and most of the images to you, you create the first draft and return. We then send you the next section while we check and amend the first section and return it. Once the full catalogue has been worked through like this then further proof reading and tidying up will be done of the overall document including indexing and corrections etc. We also have existing catalogues which we may use for you to take information from as PDF documents on certain items. There is potential for ongoing work as a result of this project if we are pleased with the outcome.
