I'm looking to build a web-enabled tool for Compliance personnel at financial firms. I could demonstrate the tool in an excel-based format, which will go a long way toward documenting the specification of the tool.
Essentially, it's a web-interface, allowing this user to 1) see the list of tasks they have to perform (also some calendar functionality related to this), 2) take them to the relevant page to perform a task (usually just logging or documenting something they observed. Would need ability to paste images, type notes, etc... very CRM-like (or Jira-like) with date-stamping, etc.)
3) house a repository for uploaded documents related to tasks.
4) administration capability from the back-end allowing me to tailor the user's list of relevant tasks, access the document repository, etc.
I envision a sequel database for the tasks and their characteristics, users and their entitlements, etc. And webdesign for the various task-pages (probably ~40-50 task pages), document repository interface, dashboard summary and back-office tools.
