Some of the principles of good web design: Web Design Fundamentals PowerPoint Presentation. i. Precedence ii. Spacing iii. Navigation iv. Design to Build v. Typography vi. Usability vii. Alignment viii. Clarity ix. Consistency c. Navigation elements d. Links e. Images and/or videos f. No more than three types of fonts per page. i. One font type is ideal. ii. Two font types is still perfect. iii. Three font types is the maximum. iv. Four plus font types is unacceptable. II. Code – (25 points) g. HTML i. Structure and Semantic elements. h. CSS i. Separate stylesheet with proper syntax ii. If and when appropriate 1. Classes 2. IDs 3. Pseudo-Selectors 4. Attributes 5. Font-family set III. Color – (20 points) i. One of the pages within your website must be dedicated to explaining the reasons why you chose to use certain colors in your design. Refer to the “Design for Conversion” PowerPoint presentation, where I provide links to pages discussing the meaning of colors. IV. Presentation – (20 points) j. Well organized content with “0” errors. k. Easy to read. l. Overall theme effectively conveyed. i. Guideline Question: 1. What is your website about? 2.
