Build a Gift List Website

We are trying to develop a gift list website, where users are able to create a list of gifts that they would like for a specific occasion (such as their birthday). The website will allow users to register/create an account, create numerous lists and then add gifts to these individual lists. Additional features will include; 1. In-site messaging (basic inbox/create message system) 2. The ability to share lists with other users via e-mail 3. Users can 'reserve' or 'buy' a gift for a user, meaning other users won't see it on their list when browsing. This is only cosmetic and no purchase system is expected here. 4. A permissions system that allows you to search for other site users and grant them access to your lists, deny them access to your lists, invite them to your lists, and so on. 5. Event reminders via e-mail. This is a simplistic overview of the website that we require. Attached to this project is a Microsoft Word document that provides significantly more information as to the features of the website and how they should operate, including a story board to hopefully make things easier for you. This is a long and detailed document so we recommend that only those with excellent grasp of the English language apply for this project, as some of the language may confuse non-native English speakers. Please be sure to read have this document before bidding on the project. Automated/quick bidders will be ignored! We have a very loose website design/template that has been provided to us by a third party. It consists of HTML pages, CSS and Javascript (making use of jQuery popups) to provide some of the site interaction. This design will likely require some modification and extension to incorporate all of the features we would like, so we recommend the ideal candidate has experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript/jQuery. Some design experience may also be beneficial. Please note that this Word document references the old website design. The new design is something that may need to be modified to incorporate the features within the word document. We would prefer this website to be developed primarily using PHP. We can and will provide hosting of this project if you require an environment to develop on directly. We are looking for a reliable and motivated candidate to take on this project. We have many other projects that also require work, so would love to develop a relationship with someone we can continue to work with over a long period of time.
