Develop a website for a business or organization; can be made up.
All development must be done in Notepad.
Guidelines:
Must be a minimum of 3 pages.
Have a consistent look and feel throughout the site, develop a theme for your site and use Kuler to develop a color scheme.
Use CSS for all styles. (e.g. do not use tables for layout unless a form is used)
Must use an external cascading style sheet(s).
Must implement a two or three column layout (unless otherwise approved by me).
Must use Blueprint CSS to structure your layout.
Must have consistent navigation throughout the site.
Use block-style navigation elements.
Conform to HTML 5 schema (i.e. validates using the W3C Validator).
Be sure to use HTML 5 elements (all of them).
Use techniques to make your web page text scannable.
Conform to WCAG Priority 1 web accessibility guidelines. The checklist is provided at [login to view URL]
Below are some of the general guidelines but not all:
Use alt attributes with images.
Use title attributes with hyperlinks.
Be aware that HTML structuring order matters for screen readers.
Don’t rely on color alone to convey information/meaning.
Use tables only for tabular information.
Use row and column headers in tables.
Use summary attribute for tables (still going to use this!).
2 days: $150 (50% to start + 50% when I finish) to draw on a sheet of paper a prototype of the 3 pages. I will scan the image and send to you, if approved I will start the mockup. 5 days: $600 (50% to start + 50% when I finish) to create this mockup according to your specs.
