Correct media gallery file names in new WordPress installation

Working on a new site in WordPress....when we imported the site the image names had spaces in them and WordPress did not like that so it changed spaces in image names to %20 ... I need that corrected some way so that images will show with the posts they were already associated...there may be a plugin ? that does this automatically ??? Should be a simple fix for somebody who is a WP expert ....
