Convert a template to the beginnings of a website

I'm currently in a professional program and still have 3 years of study ahead of me so not too much free time to be building up my website. I want to get a headstart and have something that I can add content to as the years go by, so will need a bit of explanation from my chosen freelancer (once the initial project is done) as to the simple steps to adding content and making updates in the future. What I'm looking for now is the very simple job of taking my template and converting it to a website (for which I have a domain already-purchased). Put up some pictures, some links, a bio, etc. It's focus is Health and Wellness and thus will have many articles, blog postings and perhaps some videos in the future. I just want to set these up and have the aforementioned process of updating, etc. explained to me. Since I have very little content at the moment, this will be an extremely simple job.
