Design a Logo for Pet Company - repost

PetZenergy™ is looking for a graphic designer for a project we are launching to for our pet care and pet supply service. We need a logo for our small business that's visually pleasing, but also pragmatically affordable. The winning candidate will most likely be invited to help design a webpage banner and Facebook Timeline banner and potentially help design for our second phase plan of pet and human apparel. If we like the logo, we may extend an invitation to work on designs for apparel. Enclosed are two samples of work that reflects elements of what we like. Please note: these specific logos cannot be duplicated or match too closely to the new design. Logo Sample 1: PawPrint with "Z" We absolutely love the paw print logo. Since the term "Zenergy" will be in our name, we need something in the same spunky, but serious spirit. We are fun company, but not cheesy. If your designs border on the very basic or cheesy, this is probably not the right project for you. Logo Sample 3: FootPrint Farms Great concept. We like the overall flow of this. Our team agreed that the font would be wrong for us, it would need to have a font that matches the Z in the sample 1 and our colors would need to be used. Logo Sample 3: EcoHound Like EcoHound, we are a company grounded in the concept of being organic and having ecological mindfulness. We love how EcoHound blends the colors of their of green and brown. Our three theme colors will be: 1) a similar brown as found in the original paw print photo, 2) A forest green, 3) An autumn orange. If this is confusing, please look on Google for a good representation of the color. We don't necessarily like the firmness of the overall design. It's a little too far to the "stuffy business" side for our direction. So, these styles can be blended with this thought in mind. Playful, but serious. Our key demographic are pet owners that range from 20's - 50's, college educated, but listen to Dave Matthews on their way to take their dog hiking in the Pacific Northwest or to the beach in San Diego. Since we cater to all animals, the paw print is the most neutral component. It shouldn't be specific to a dog or cat. The more subtle the way we weave "PetZenergy™" into the logo, the better. We have a preference for independent designers over companies as we believe in supporting indie artisans.
