It most be done in InDesign plan, design, edit copy and write all heads and captions for a brochure for a company or organization. The brochure will be a 6-panel horizontal format. Overall size: 8 ½ by 11 inches. Remember your gutter must be twice the size of your margin. (Don't make your margin too large.) You must have a 1/8th inch bleed. All Headlines, Captions must be real text (real English words with meaning). Body copy may be fill copy (Ipsum Lorum from InDesign) Each decision made should be accompanied by a rationale so type the following information and attach it to your layout by pasting in the assignment text box. Please use Word so you can spell check your assignment. If you have done the classwork for type and color properly you should have those already. • - Message for your brochure (what are you saying?) • - Audience for your brochure (to whom are you saying it?) • - Color selection (how does color support these two things?) • - Typeface (how does your type support these two things?) • - Choice of other design elements (how does your alignment, flow, repetition support these two things?) • - Any other design solutions/problems you want to discuss This is a ROUGH draft. The most important thing is the WRITTEN portion. I expect that you will have made the above design decisions and will be able to support them. I will be grading on design content, not the mechanical execution. The execution will determine the grade of your final portfolio. Submit both the .pdf and the .idml file for this assignment. Your text should be in the assignment box, but properly proofed and spell-checked. If you did not answer the questions above you will not receive full credit no matter how great your design is.
