This project is for a complete 15 minute presentation on the importance of HIPAA and Sarbanes Oxley laws, exactly what they cover, then focus in on how each laws apply to computers and users on a privately owned PC network. I want to demonstrate and display true facts in a scenario type environment. And also demonstrate and display what the penalties are for those who do not comply with the laws. This slide deck will be used at a public-free event and have to end with a total solution - the delivery of an offsite messaging and remote backup solution, a hard number of facts explaining how long data must be retained, what type of correspondance must be kept, for how long does a doctors office HAVE to keep the information in a secured environment, and of course be definitive about "how secure" and "how long" information must be stored/. The slide deck should stay focused on messaging requirments in small medical environments when refferencing HIPAA. Accounting firms and other industries that must comply with Sarbane Oxley privacy laws.
The overall solution is to sell the person watching into a completely outsourced offsite solution, aimed at small to medium size practices. I am more concerned about HIPAA, as I have ALOT of clients that are using gmail and Live Mail and the "Inhouse IT" guy feels as long as they use patient account numbers when referencing patients, then they are covered. In short, I want a 15 minute informative animated PPT deck on why they need to stop backing up to a zip disk and using public webmail, but switch to a "Hosted Encrypted Solution" then showcase Buyers "Total Solution". Must use deck provided, and must write a speech that will concide with slide deck. Ultimitly selling presenters (buyer) product. Project must be ready for me to deliver no later than March 1st, 2007. Must include each microsoft product used to create solution for end user (small doctors office, still peer to peer< running a front machine that holds data, but is really a XP workstation that is still SP1.) Do you see where I am going with this? Oh and here is the background of the deck I need you to use.
