Go to Musical America – Professional Growth – Education – Music Schools and Departments . Do a search for the states listed below.
Steps - Find the faculty directory for the music department. You might have to go to “Academics” or “Colleges” or “Departments” or “Programs”. You might have to go to “Liberal Arts” for some universities. And then go to ‘Music” or Performing Arts or Fine Arts.
Take all email addresses for piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, guitar, harp, conducting, ensembles, collaborative studies, Suzuki faculty members. No voice, theory, history, music education, music production, music technology faculty members. Take email addresses for “Music Instructor”, “Music Professor”, “Adjunct Professor” “Associate Professor” – anyone who looks like they might teach an instrument. Do include the Dean or the Head of the Music Dept and their email address.
Also go to the orchestras, chamber music, ensembles – these might be a separate listing from the faculty directory. If there is a link to ensembles, use that link to try to find the director of the ensemble. – get the name and email address of the person who is in charge or who conducts each of the ensembles. Include jazz, classical, orchestra, chamber ensembles.
