Hi We purchased an old coffee roaster & are in the process of looking to upgrade the burners/ gas set up. Looking for a burner to bottle solution for running on LPG. The basic plan would be to have total control from a PID. The Roaster is 20kg, The drum's dimensions are: 660mm long, 470mm diameter. (Volume 114506 cm3). The space to house the burners is 700mm long. We're a bit naive in regards to this in terms of exactly what is required. Working pressure & gas consumption etc. I found details on a 15kg LPG & the plate had: Working pressure 2.75 KPA, INJ 116MJ so i guess we'll need something a bit larger that. From a rough bit of googling I'm thinking we'll need a design that includes: Regulator Flame failure valve Gas flow valve of some kind (something that will allow finite control) Pilot system Polidoro burners to suit(I read a 15kg one had 50mm diam ones so something around that) K type temp probe & PID There may be blatantly obvious things I've missed... that you may be able to advise we'll need. Hey there! You seem to have described the project with enough specification. I am guessing you are an engineer as well? Looking at your requirements, it seems that you require a whole system involving a gas process, electrical circuits and control including design work. Lucky for you, I am just the right person for this job! Just to briefly introduce myself, I have been designing lab equipment and pilot plants that require controls of inputs and outputs accurately. Also, I also cover the whole package of design up to fabrication and prototyping. Also if you notice, the delivery time may take a bit longer in exchange for quality deliverables! This project seems very interesting and may I know if there are any other requirements? (Local regulations, design codes etc). Also, are there any specifics for using the PID controller?
