I need a circuit to carry out the following.

Use a current transformer to measure the current drawn by an AC motor. Range is between 0.5 - 1amp. we need an output voltage of between 1 - 10vdc. However, we need the system to work as follows. As the current increases, the output voltage drops.

Example:

1. motor is running and draws 0.5 amps. this should have an output voltage of 10vdc.

2. motor is running and draws 1 amp. this should have an output voltage of 1vdc.

With the circuit designed, I can then test it on a development board.

I'd also like to do this with a shunt to help reduce signal noise as there is a compressor near by.
