***General Purpose and Duties
To manager (hire new as needed) our team of writers and to organize the articles they write for us so that they are uploaded in the appropriate places in a timely manner.
To delegate the uploading of certain articles to the appropriate staff.
To source 'high quality' sites/blogs that will host our articles; to manage these contacts via email and provide them with articles as written by our writing team.
To ensure the writing team maintains a high standard of writing.
To format the articles with the correct html linking code.
***Skills and Knowledge
Native English speaker and writer. Understand what reads well and proper U.S. grammar.
Ability to maintain a spreadsheet up to date with article distribution progress.
Ability to utilize computerized word processing and internet software.
Topical knowledge of the Internet, ftp and the ability to develop website documents.
Basic SEO knowledge of best practice keyword linking.
Basic knowledge of html and linking tags.
Ability to initiate and maintain email correspondence with webmasters and site owners. Desire to develop and maintain professional relationships with webmasters and site owners.
Ability to create and compose emails in proper U.S. spelling and grammar – quickly! Solid understanding of netiquette and professional business email correspondence.
Ability to effectively manage your own time and schedules.
Experience with staff management - ability to hire and fire; to delegate and monitor work done by others.
Experience in working with virtual writers would be an advantage.
***Work Requirements
This position will allow you to work from your own home office, so you need to have:
• Location is virtual
• Time to complete projects is up to individual however a weekly status report will be required.
• A complete office set up with high speed internet connection
• Firefox browser
• Microsoft Office
***Ideal Person for this Position
This position requires someone who wants to work from home and at their own hours. You must enjoy email communication.
You will be someone who thrives on getting things completed.
You must be able to manage your own time and enjoy working by yourself. You must also be capable of co-coordinating and communicating with others.
Must be willing to take responsibility for reaching targets.
***Other
This is a position for 30 to 40 hours per week. This is a career position with long term prospects for the right applicant.
