I am a native speaker, and fairly new editor with Freelancer from Australia. I successfully studied the editing course run by the Queensland Distance Education College (as we were called then) and then did a lot of editing and proof-reading for the Institute. It was about typos, misspelled or misused words, grammatical errors and also layout etc. So I have had a lot of practice with those sorts of errors. I was also a teacher responsible for the Institute’s pre-university literacy course. You say that you want a more professional and more catchy website based on the 5 pages you have already. That sounds very doable! And rather fun! My guess is that you want the English to be fluent, clear and user-friendly - and compelling! Layout is important too.
