In this project, you will create a small javascript module that
(1) load in a series of numbers and display this time series data in a line graph (e.g., stock prices over time) in SVG format.
(2) allow the user to select multiple portions of the graph. To select a portion, the user can click on the graph to indicate the start time, then click again to indicate the end time of the portion. After indicating the end time, that portion will be highlighted, and a panel will appear just above the mouse click, containing a text box that allows the user to enter a tag to label that portion. The user can decide not to label at that point in time by closing the panel.
(3) when the user mouse over a previous selected portion, they can see any tags that have been associate with that portion. The user can also click on a previously selected portion to enter a tag.
NOTE:
- You should not use any off-the-shelf javascript plugins. The only plugin you can use, if you choose to, is D3 ([login to view URL]).
- as delivery, please include the HTML, Javascript, and CSS files.
- a screenshot is attached, which illustrates some of the requirements.
