I am looking for a freelancer to help me with my project. The skills required are Linux, C++, Adobe DNG SDK. I am happy to pay a fixed priced and my budget is €25 - €150 EUR.
What I need is a linux executable (on arm64) equivalent of the windows adobe dng converter. I also need to be able to compile the executable from source myself (makefiles). The converter needs to be fast and efficient and also able to use *dng lossy* compression. Maybe the lossy compression can be made configurable, like in this product: [login to view URL] (but they have no linux executable). If that can be realised I'm able to pay the full €150,- but it's not a mandatory feature.
An example of how the Adobe SDK is used to build a linux 'validate_dng' executable can be found here: [login to view URL]
Another example: someone created a dng converter on linux but not complete: [login to view URL]
This one can not use lossy compression (but uses normal lossless compression which makes larger files).
So to conclude: I need the functionality to be as close as possible to the windows version, which can be found here: [login to view URL]
The use case is storing large raw files (from canon cr2 or nikon nef format) with quite minimal quality loss on a raspberry pi kind of board. So that I can store many files on little space. It's very important that all files are really compliant to the DNG format and can be read into photoshop again.
