Knowledge-Based Systems Assignment Character Recognition using Artificial Neural Network In this assignment, you will design a character recognition engine using neural network, which learns how to automatically classify a character/digit. The standard character set is shown in Figure 1. The evaluation of the network will be done during the presentation session. During the evaluation, network will be tested with standard character set. In addition, distorted input will be used for testing. Example distorted inputs are shown in Figure 2. Ultimate goal of the network is to reach 100% recognition rate (with standard or distorted input). Questions will be asked during the evaluation session.
